Lita Ford (born Lita Rossana Ford )>, born September 19, 1958 in London is a singer and guitarist American hard rock.
Born in London, she emigrated very young to the United States accompanied by her family, she has Italian origins from her mother. She started playing the guitar at the age of eleven.
At the age of 17, she became one of the members of the hard / punk band The Runaways as a solo guitarist. While much of the media's attention is focused on lead singer Cherie Currie and rhythm guitarist / backup singer Joan Jett, Ford is making a name for herself with her electric guitar talents. She remains a permanent member of the group until her separation in 1979.
