The Automatic

The Automatic, also known as The Automatic Automatic in the United States> is a British indie pop group from Cardiff, Wales. Originally, they were called White Rabbit, they renamed themselves The Automatic, music being according to them the antidote to " the automatic life ". After high school, they signed their first album on B-Unique Records (record company of the Kaiser Chiefs and Ordinary Boys). Wanting to escape university they started playing together, influenced by Jarcrew, Blur and the Blood Brothers among others. Their recorded album, they set off on the road with groups such as Hard-Fi, The Ordinary Boys and The Kooks. After the Get Loaded In The Park festival at the end of August 2007, Alex Pennie decided to leave the band. While the other three members of the band will soon be going to the United States to record their new album, Alex Pennie is replaced by Paul Mullen. The members met during elementary school in the early 1990s and formed a group at age 13. Alex Pennie was recruited five years later. They were originally called White Rabbit, until February 2005> before renaming themselves The Automatic while their musical style was, in their opinion, the antidote to " automatic life ">. After recording a two-track demo entitled Monster and Rats in 2005>, they signed a five-year contract> with B-Unique Records>.
