Save ferris

Save Ferris is an American group of ska (third wave), formed in 1995 in Orange County in southern California that dissolved in 2002.

Their ska-pop-swing fusion style is pretty close to ska punk. Their second album is however more pop.

Their name is taken from a replica of Ferris Bueller's blockbuster La Folle Journée, an American comedy from 1986.

Initially the group was formed from four former members of the band Los Pantelones who had just separated: Brian Mashburn (guitar, vocals), Bill Uechi (bass), Eric Zamora (alto saxophone) and José Castellaños (trumpet) ). Then they recruited the charismatic Larry band singer, Monique Powell (born August 20, 1975) with a "real" voice and T-Bone Willy trombone from the Knuckle Brothers band (see story).

Evan Kilbourne (drums) will join them in 1998.
