Transmetal

Transmetal is a Mexican death and thrash metal band from Ciudad Azteca, Mexico. Formed in January 1987, the band plays, over the course of its existence, with other bands like Slayer, Sodom, Kreator, Death, Malevolent Creation, Sepultura, Obituary, Destruction, Sacred Reich, Napalm Death, Dark Angel, Nuclear Assault , Testament, Angel Morbid, Deicide, Cannibal Corpse, Overkill, Sadus, Monstrosity and Unleashed.

The group also tours in Mexico, but also in countries such as Colombia, Bolivia, Peru, the United States and Nicaragua (in July 2016). They participate in festivals such as Vive Latino 2007. One of Transmetal's best albums is entitled = "es"> El Infierno de Dante , considered a classic Mexican metal. In 2014, the band has more than twenty albums to its credit.

The group is formed in Ciudad Azteca, Mexico>. In 1985, after months of rehearsals and preparations, the group debuted as the Temple of Acero. The beginnings were so uncertain that the group made several changes of membership; it takes a year for the group to stabilize and start to have some local notoriety. It is in fact a photo montage published in the local magazine Connect which makes them leave the anonymity. At this time, the band plays cover songs of bands like Celtic Frost, Scorpions, Black Sabbath or Accept, alternating with some original songs. In winter 1986, two members decide to leave the group. In 1987, Javier and Juan Partida invite Alberto Pimentel (future singer of Leprosy), a mutual friend with whom they form the Transmetal group. After a few days, they persuade Lorenzo Partida to become their bass player for a while, then full time. In 1988, they played once and only on 24 and 25 September at the Palais Omnisports in Paris-Bercy, France, alongside Iron Maiden, Anthrax and Helloween.

The group's first studio album is entitled Muerto en la Cruz , produced by Eric Meyer. After recording the band's third album, Alberto Pimentel left the band to form his solo project, and was replaced by Alejandro González (former Allusion singer)>, shortly before the arrival of Juan Carlos Camarena as second guitarist. The new band is recording a studio album released in December 1990 in Mexico under the title Zona Muerta , played live on the famous tour New Titans over Mexico Tour with Sepultura, Sacred Reich and Napalm Death in 1991>. With these appearances, they will play with international bands such as Deicide, Sick of it All and Nuclear Assault at the Mexican Mosh festival in 1992. That same year witnessed the rise in popularity of the group, and the departure of its two new members who were fired after the release of the first double live album Transmetal recorded in Mexico City.
