Velvet revolver

Velvet Revolver is a super hard rock band from Rancho Santa Margarita, California. He trained in 2002 with Slash, Duff McKagan, Matt Sorum (three members of Guns N 'Roses), Scott Weiland (Stone Temple Pilots) and Dave Kushner.

After a break since 2008, the group meets for a charity concert in 2012.

After the death of musician Randy Castillo following cancer in 2002, Slash, McKagan, and Sorum play a charity concert to raise funds and in memory of Castillo> with Josh Todd and Keith Nelson of Buckcherry, and B -Real and Sen Dog of Cypress Hill>. Noticing that their musical relationship has remained intact, the trio begins to rehearse with Todd> and Nelson, working on what will happen Dirty Little Thing> but finally decide not to form a band with them >>>. During their Loaded concert at the West Hollywood Viper Room, McKagan introduced Kushner to Slash, a former high school comrade >>>. Kushner is invited to jam with the band and is soon joined by Slash>. Their former Guns N 'Roses colleague, Izzy Stradlin, also joined them for two weeks> finally suggesting that "Duff and sing and tour the clubs in a van. Slash explains in his autobiography that he did not know if Stradlin was serious or not. After an audition, Kelly Shaefer of Atheist and Neurotica>, Stradlin leaves the group>.

As Shaefer's audition was unsuccessful, the quartet continued to search for a singer, and VH1 filmed the auditions> at a time during which they named The Project>. The resulting documentary is broadcast as VH1 Inside Out: The Rise of Velvet Revolver. A number of singer will audition for the group, including Steve Ludwin, of Carrie and Little Hell, Todd Kerns, former member of Age of Electric >>>>>, Sebastian Bach, former Skid Row>, Shawn Albro of UPO> , Travis Meeks of Days of the New>, Myles Kennedy, ex-The Mayfield Four, declines the invitation of Sorum to participate in the auditions>, Ian Astbury of The Cult and Mike Patton of Faith No More>, will also decline the offer >. The group also wanted to audition Scott Stone Temple, singer of Stone Temple Pilots, whom he befriended McKagan after meeting in a gym >>>. Weiland also played under the name of Kushner>. Weiland will receive two discs,> and explain that the first disc "it was as if Bad Company had fallen to the lowest"> ; After listening to the second record, Weiland will have a more positive point of view, comparing it to the Stone Temple Pilots during the Core era. But he will refuse because the Stone Temple Pilots were still active.
