While she sleeps

While She Sleeps is a British metalcore band from Sheffield, England. Formed in 2006, the band includes Lawrence "Loz" Taylor on vocals, Sean Long on guitar, Mat Welsh on rhythm guitar, Aaran McKenzie on bass and Adam "Sav" Savage on the drums.

While She Sleeps is formed in Renishaw, near Sheffield, England, in 2006 by singer Jordan Widdowson, backing vocalist Allan Worrall, drummer Adam Savage, bassist Aaran McKenzie and guitarists Mat Welsh and Sean Long. The members are former members of other groups in which they played before forming While She Sleeps, and are described as the "best friends since high school". After a few concerts in 2009, most of the members decided to focus on the "full time" group; however, singer Widdowson decides to leave the band. With the arrival of Lawrence Taylor, the band starts recording an EP. Between the end of 2009 and 2010, the band toured in the UK and Europe. Gradually becoming popular, the group completed the recording of the album The North Stands for Nothing which is published on July 26, 2010, at Small Town Records. The group plays in support of the album on June 24 at the Plug of their hometown, followed by a great tour in 2010, which includes an appearance at the Sonisphere Festival. In October, they sign a contract with the Good Fight Music label to distribute their music in the United States>.

After the release of their EP - which continues with a long tour - the popularity of the group and the interest of the media and labels are growing. On February 15, 2011, the band recorded a stage performance at Maida Vale Studios for BBC Radio 1>. They are also starting to record new songs, such as the single Be (lie) ve, released by Good Fight Music on March 15, 2011>. May 4, While She Sleeps is invited to play for Bring Me the Horizon in Sheffield at O2 Academy>. In summer, they play in several European festivals and play in support of Bring Me the Horizon for two concerts in late August. While She Sleeps plays in the United States with Bring Me the Horizon in August in October. However, While She Sleeps must cancel some US dates because of passport issues. In October, the group makes its first tour in the UK and Europe, in support of Bury Tomorrow and Feed the Rhino.

November 1, 2011, While She Sleeps begins working on her debut album with producer Carl Bown. They record the drum tracks at Chapel Studios in Lincolnshire, England, before recording the rest of the album at the Chesterfield Treehouse Studios. After the end of the recordings, the group toured the UK in 2012 with New Found Glory, The Blackout, and letlive. On March 27, 2012, the arrival of While She Sleeps on the Search and Destroy Records label is announced; they will publish there their first album>. On April 4, 2012, the magazine Kerrang! reveals that their album, This Is the Six , will be released August 6, 2012>; however, the release date is postponed to August 13>. The title track, This Is the Six, is released as the first single on May 13th. While She Sleeps is being announced for British and European festivals and concerts in the summer, including a first appearance at the Download Festival>. They then tour Australia in support of House vs. Hurricane in late July and early August. On June 7, 2012, While She Sleeps Wins an Award in the "Best British Newcomer" category at Kerrang! Awards 2012>.
