Wolfmother

Wolfmother is an Australian hard rock band from Sydney. Their style is a mix of heavy metal and psychedelic rock. The magazine Rolling Stone quotes Wolfmother in one of his "Top 10 Groups to See 2006">.

In 2004, Wolfmother began appearing at bigger festivals like Homebake and Big Day Out. They released their first homonymous EP via Modular Recordings in September 2004. This EP is a success with total sales exceeding 10,000 copies, sales supported by a constant local radio broadcast. In 2005, Wolfmother Group continues its journey towards Los Angeles and works with the producer Dave Sardy (of Red Hot Chili Peppers, Marilyn Manson or Oasis) to record their first album of the same name already long awaited, which will be diffused in October. The first single to be released will be Mind's Eye / Woman. Moreover, the song Woman is part of the popular album Big Shiny Tunes 11.

In August 2008, bassist and keyboardist Chris Ross and drummer Myles Heskett left Wolfmother (they are now in charge of The Slew's rhythmic band, with Kid Koala and Dynomite D). The first for musical differences with Andrew Stockdale (guitarist / singer) and the second prefers to give up to avoid dealing with a new lineup. Andrew Stockdale was looking for musicians to keep Wolfmother alive. Recently the guitarist found Ian Peres on bass and keyboard, Aidan Nemeth on guitar and Dave Acosta / Atkins on drums. Wolfmother released a second album on October 26, 2009 called Cosmic Egg, an excerpt named Back Round appears in the soundtrack of the game Guitar Hero 5.

The car group Peugeot uses their song Joker and the Thief for the commercial of the new 308 SW. Andrew Stockdale is present on Slash, the solo album of Slash released in April 2010. He sings the title By The Sword which was released as a single in March 2010. Dave Atkins (the drummer) decides to leave the group to spend more time with her family. They have already found a replacement after auditions, it is Will Rockwell-Scott of Mooney Suzuki of Har Mar. In 2014, Wolfmother released on March 23, 2014 his 3> self-produced studio album named New Crown . Andrew Stockdale is surrounded by Ian Peres (bass, keyboards) and Vin Steele (drums).
