Circle II Circle is an American heavy metal band from Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was trained in 2002 by Zak Stevens, singer of Savatage.
For eight years, between 1992 and August 2000, Zachary Stevens is leader of Savatage>. After five albums in the group, he left Savatage in 2000 for family reasons. In winter 2001, Zak returns alongside his long-time friend and co-founder Dan Campbell to write songs with Jon Oliva and guitarist Chris Caffery that will be included in what will become Circle II Circle's first album, Watching in Silence>. CIIC's second album, The Middle of Nowhere features Zak on vocals, Paul Michael Stewart, Andy Lee, Tom Drennan and Evan Christopher>
The third album of the group is a concept album entitled Burden of Truth published on June 6, 2006. Stevens and the group then sign to the Intromental Management label. In January 2008, the former singer of Savatage Zak Stevens announces the creation of a new group called Circle II Circle and announces the upcoming release of a first metal album more mainstream than that practiced by his former formation and on which will appear pieces co-written with Jon Oliva>. Their fourth album, Delusions of Grandeur, is released on April 25, 2008.
On January 25, 2013, Circle II Circle released its album Seasons will Fall at earMusic. The live album Bootleg Live at Wacken 2012 is released on June 20, 2014. A studio album, Reign of Darkness, follows on October 16, 2015. On December 7, 2016, their former drummer, Adam Sagan, dies of cancer at age 35 >.
