Eppu Normaali is one of the most popular rock bands in Finland. Beginning in 1976 with a punk-rock style, he evolved into pop-rock compositions in the early 1980s.
Some pieces of Eppu Normaali have become timeless "hits" in Finland, such as Poliisi pamputtaa taas ("The police baton again") or Baarikärpänen ("Pillar of bar"). Eppu Normaali is as effective as his lyrics, especially for the humor of certain lyrics, and has established himself as a reference in Finnish rock. But its success has hardly gone beyond national borders.
