The band signs with the label Transgressive Records in Europe, and Sub Pop in the United States. In 2007, even before the release of an album, the group appears in an unpublished episode of Skins Season 1> entitled Skins Secret Party during which he plays his second single Hummer.

In the summer of 2007, Foals began working on a debut album in New York. It is produced by Dave Sitek of TV on the Radio. However, the band decided to mix the album itself, explaining that Sitek had made the first master of the album as "if we had recorded the Grand Canyon>. " Philippakis will explain several times that Foals and Dave Sitek get on well, even if this mix of Sitek was rejected by the group. The reverb used by Dave Sitek gave their compositions a "strange" sound, according to them.
