Fueled by fire

Fueled by Fire is an American thrash metal band from Norwalk, California. The band is part of the wave of the thrash revival, that is to say it is largely inspired by thrash metal bands of the 1980s as Slayer or Destruction.

The band was formed in 2002 in Norwalk, California, by Carlos Gutierrez (drums), Rick Rangel (vocals), Adrian Gallego (bass), and Sal Zepede (electric guitar). Gallego recruits a little later, Rangel as bassist and Ray Fiero as new singer. A little later is added the bassist Anthony Vasquez, and Rick Rangel takes the guitar. This training remains constant until the departure of the singer Ray Fiero, in January 2004. The following day, the group manages to recruit Jovanny "Gio" Herrera as new singer. He is also third guitarist of the band. Their first demo, Life ... Death ... and FBF, was released in April 2004. Thanks to this demo, the band participated in a gig at Whiskey at Go Go in Los Angeles. They then perform various concerts in Los Angeles and surrounding areas with bands such as Exodus, Possessed, Exumer, Heathen, Hallows Eve, Hirax, and Agent Steel.

In 2006, four years after their formation, the band finally released a studio album, Spread the Fire, which was re-released in September of the following year. Shortly after the release of this album, the singer and guitarist Jovanny "Gio" Herrara, leaves the band. He will be replaced by vocalist Rick Rangel, who was previously the group's lead guitarist. The young Chris Monroy joins the band as a guitarist. In December 2007, they play on American tour with Scarecrow>. In 2008, they participate in the festival Keep It True in Germany. In April 2008, they play in Europe, then in America with M.O.D.>.

The group announces a second studio album, planned for 2010, and entitled Plunging into Darkness. In 2013, the group released its new album, Trapped in Perdition.
