Hanni El Khatib , still called HEK , is an American musician born June 8, 1981, singer-songwriter of rock based in Los Angeles.

Born in Palestine by his father and Filipino by his mother, Hanni El Khatib was born in 1981 in San Francisco, California, where he grew up. He first practices music as a hobby while also working as the artistic director of the clothing brand for skateboarders HUF>, particularly appreciated by Californians and Californians.

In 2010, he recorded two singles on the label Innovative Leisure, belonging to the independent label Stones Throw Records. It is the opening of Florence and the Machine>.
