Temnozor (Russian: Tymnozor ) is a Russian black metal band from Obninsk, Kaluga. Often abusively categorized in the national socialist black metal (NSBM, the "national-socialist black metal"), this group, although openly nationalist and politicized on the right is not - strictly speaking - neo-Nazi or neo-fascist >>> .
Temnozor was formed in 2001 in Obninsk, Kaluga Oblast, but its origins are traced, according to the official website of the group, in 1996>. In 1997, Wuulko (guitar, keyboard), Tuur (vocals, lyrics), and Leshiy (drums) form the band under the name of Temnozor. In 1998, with the help of Kudiyar (session bass) and P. Noir (singing and session flute), they recorded the album Ведовством крепка чёрная слава Руси ( Sorcery is Strengthening the Black Glory of Rus' ), distributed in cassette format by Stellar Winter Records>. In 1998, they also recorded an untitled demo that included the songs lang = ru (ru)> Дид-Дуб-Сноп , and Прославление павших , but this demo has never been officially released.
In 2001, the founding members having left the scene, Темнозорь ceases its activities. In the meantime, P. Noir and Gorruth, along with the leaders of Stellar Winter Records, who admitted to being the group's founder, are reorganizing the group in Moscow with new members in autumn 2001>. With the new training, the group releases a demo called Fragments . Two years later, in 2003, the band released their first studio album entitled Horizons ... >>>. In winter 2002/2003, after several postponements of date, Temnozor publishes two albums. Sorcery of Fragments , a 70-minute album contains the demo Sorcery is Strengthening the Black Glory of Rus' and the mini-CD Fragments . In April 2003, the Polish label East Side Records publishes a Polish version of Horizons .
In 2005, the band released their third studio album, "Folkstorm of the Azure Nights" . In 2010 released their fourth studio album, Haunted Dreamscapes.
