Them crooked vultures

Them Crooked Vultures is an American-English rock supergroup from Los Angeles, California. It is composed of Dave Grohl (founder of Foo Fighters, former member of Nirvana) on drums, Josh Man (of Queens of the Stone Age, Eagles of Death Metal and Kyuss), on guitar and vocals, and John Paul Jones (former bassist-keyboardist Led Zeppelin) on bass.

The trio, accompanied by Alain Johannes on guitar, gives his first concert in Chicago on August 9, 2009 and regularly performs on stage, in the United States and Europe in the wake of the release of his first and only album that carries their name, which was released on November 17, 2009>. The band has been inactive since 2010, its three members returning to their respective musical occupations.

A collaboration between Josh Homme, Jones and Dave Grohl is first mentioned by Dave Grohl in an interview in 2005 in which he states: "The next project I am trying to put together includes myself on the drums , Josh Man on guitar and John Paul Jones on bass. This is my next album, it should not be afraid>. "

Dave Grohl, who in June 2008 brings up Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones on stage at Wembley at a Foo Fighters concert, keeps in touch with former Led Zeppelin bassist and invites him to the amusement park Californian Medieval Times where he organizes a party for his 40th birthday in January 2009. He arranges to have him sit down next to his friend Josh Homme, the two musicians get to know each other and the project takes shape. For Grohl (born in 1969) and for Man (born in 1973), the opportunity to collaborate with the bassist of a legendary band they admire since their childhood (Dave Grohl says "Lifelong Zeppelin fanatic") is a dream incredible they are willing to prioritize over all their other activities >>>.
