With immediate effect, we have introduced a limit of 3 tabs that a member can submit to the tab validation queue at any one time. This has been done in order to stop mass submission of tabs. Posted on: 01 Jun 2009 17:13 April 2009 "Open" Competition - Results

If you would like to participate in the May 2009 open competition as a contestant or a judge, please go to the official sign-up topic in the GProTab Competition Forum. An "open" competition means that your song may be of any genre and tabs need not have any tracks arranged for guitar. See you there!

We are pleased to announce that the GProTab rules have been revised and can be found by clicking the rules link on the GProTab home page. The significant changes are: rule 6.2.7 which states that for personal compositions and in "open" competitions, tabs will be accepted without tracks arranged for guitar, although the requirement still remains for other tabs (see rule 6.2.7 for more details); rule 6.2.20 states that all empty bars must be filled with rests, which has become a main reason for rejecting a tab; some general tidying up and rationalisation of the text. Please welcome Generis Humani, who joins the GProTab team as a moderator today. As well as general validating and moderating, he will run the GProTab competitions.
He will take charge of the March 2009 ambient competition. He is well known to most regular members here already, has good knowledge of the Guitar Pro software, as well as being a composer himself. Well done Generis.

Even before the dust has settled on the GProTab Dec 2008-Jan 2009 competition, another one is being organised. If you would like to participate in the Feb 2009 competition, please go to the official sign-up topic in the GProTab Competition Forum. It is an "open" competition in which any genre of music is permitted. Additionally songs may include any instrument and need not include tracks arranged for guitar. Song submissions must be in by 15 Feb 2009.
